Summer Agricultural Research Intern(s)
Kent Ag Research Inc. is looking for two (2) Summer Agricultural Research Interns for the 2026 season. Kent Ag Research Inc. is a research service and variety testing business located in Thamesville, ON, with field locations in Ontario and Quebec specializing in corn, soybean, cereal, and vegetable crops.
Duties:
- Seed preparation and small plot planting
- Small plot maintenance including weed control, staking, population counts, data collection
- Support seed production including rogueing
- Assist with wheat plot harvest
Required Skills/Experience:
- Must possess a high degree of self-motivation, attention to detail and reliability
- Strong work ethic, able to work independently or on a team
- Great listening, questioning, and comprehension skills
- Must be able to manage time and priorities effectively
- Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time
- Be willing to travel with some overnight stays required
- Hold a valid G Drivers Licence; ability to drive pickup truck and trailer considered an asset
- Able to commute to Thamesville location daily
- Ability to follow safety procedures and safe operation of equipment, vehicles, etc.
- Operation of farm equipment considered an asset
- Applicants with agricultural knowledge preferred
A competitive wage and training will be provided.
This position will begin in late April 2026 and go until mid-late August 2026. This would be a suitable position for college/university students looking to gain experience in the agricultural/research field.

Kent Ag Research Inc. is looking for two (2) Seasonal Agricultural Research Assistants for the 2026 season. Kent Ag Research Inc. is a research service and variety testing business located in Thamesville, ON, with field locations in Ontario and Quebec specializing in corn, soybean, cereal, and vegetable crops.

- Assist with plot harvest including cleanout procedures on harvest equipment
